How do I pay for my apartment?
You can confirm your booking by making a deposit (between 200 and 300 € depending on apartment and length of stay) to the property owner’s bank account. Some of our guests make a second bank transfer for the remainder, while others prefer cash payments on arrival.
Can I rent my apartment for any period of time?
During the summer season, all apartments are rented for one or more weeks, starting Sunday. Between September 6 and June 14 you are welcome to stay with us for three days—or more.
What is included in the price?
The price of the rental includes power and water consumption, wi-fi Internet access, cleaning expenses, linen and towels, bicycle use and a 13% tax.
Will there be any additional payments?
The local tourist tax is payable on arrival. The amount is 1 € per adult per day, and 0.50 € per child (ages 12-18) per day.
How soon can we check into our apartment?
All apartments are available at 2 PM (14:00 hours). If you are a family with small children, we can call you on the telephone as soon as your apartment is ready.
How to find us
Most visitors to Sutivan take the car ferry from Split. The Supetar ferry leaves once an hour. Once you reach Brač, head west for 6 km. Our villa is in the western part of town, at the street address Domovinskog rata 37.
GPS coordinates: 43.388948 / 16.464638 For the most up-to-date ferry schedule, consult the shipping company Jadrolinija. You can also fly here, directly to Brač airport. In that case, we will arrange a taxi service for you.
What appliances will I find in my apartment?
All apartments include a refrigerator with freezer, stove, oven, dishwasher and hair dryer.
Are children’s cots available?
We have two children’s cots on the premises. Their use is free, but you should book ahead.
Is tap water safe for drinking?
Tap water is excellent for drinking. It comes to Sutivan through an underground supply system from the river Cetina near Omiš.
Where is the garbage disposal?
The garbage containers are 50 meters from the villa, towards the beaches Likva and Bistrica.
Can we do the laundry during our stay?
We do have a laundry machine on the premises, and we can do your washing for free. You can also borrow our iron and ironing board.
Where can we take the children, beside the beach?
We suggest visiting the nature park just outside Sutivan, which includes a petting zoo. The can feed and touch animals they normally see only in pictures, and there are playgrounds in the park as well.
What about older children? Or grown-ups feeling young?
Brač is truly packed with sights, and the summers are very eventful. A car or a rented scooter are great ways to explore the island. In Sutivan you can also rent speedboats, jet skis, motorboats or canoes. The town also includes sailing, windsurfing and rock climbing schools. Beginners are welcome! Guided walking tours are another good idea, not only for discovering the island, but also for making friends.
We have heard that many people bring their bicycles to Sutivan?
This is true. Sutivan and the area around it are perfect for this kind of holiday. All our guests can use our bicycles for free. The true enthusiast, however, wishing for something a little stronger, will be pleased to hear that you can rent superb mountain bikes in Sutivan, along with helmets.
I left my book at home—is there a library in Sutivan?
The local library is open for a several hours every day. The timetable can be found in the info-book in your apartment.
Is there an ATM in town? How about a currency exchange?
The ATM (bank machine) can be found in the center of Sutivan harbor, beside the Marina café. The currency exchange is inside the post office, where the avenue lined with palm trees begins.
Where can we buy fresh fish?
There is a small fishmarket in Sutivan, with fresh fish every day.
Are the shops open on Sundays and state holidays?
The supermarket, two small shops, and the bakery are open every day. So is the open-air market.
Are there showers on the beaches?
Yes, there are free showers on the beaches.
What if we need a doctor?
Supetar hospital has a doctor on duty 24 hours a day. Go back the way you came from the ferry, 6 km east. The way to the hospital is marked on the map in the info-book in your apartment.
Are there public celebrations in Sutivan?
Sutivan was named for Saint John, whose feast day is June 24. The town’s patron saint is Saint Roche, and this second celebration takes place on August 16.
What are the service times in Sutivan churches?
The Catholic Mass is held every day in the morning and evening. For the time-table, consult the info-book in your apartment.
